RPAC Services

The RPAC Program helps state and local associations increase their RPAC fundraising receipts above their current RPAC “per member” goals. It provides optimal levels of choice to meet the associations’ different RPAC fundraising needs. Read on to learn about the services available, including grants to conduct fundraising events and customized RPAC marketing materials.

 2010 RPAC Deadlines

  • 2010 Midyear Recognition: Friday, April 23, 2010, Close of Business
  • 2010 Annual Convention Recognition: Monday, October 18, 2010, Close of Business

 RPAC Fundraising Conference Grants for States

  • Each state can apply for as much as $0.10 per member. States with less than 50,000 members can apply for up to $5,000.
  • States are encouraged to join together to put on regional conferences in order to pool resources and reach a larger audience
  • NAR would provide help with
    1. Sample Fundraising Manuals
    2. Sample Agendas
    3. Sample PowerPoint presentations
    4. Sample Fundraising Plans
    5. Developing agendas, brokering a discounted rate for professional fundraising consultants to speak at the conferences and making NAR staff available for speaking slots

Requirements:

  • Once application has been approved NAR will refund expenses up to the grant allocation
  • Must allow time for a NAR representative to speak about NAR programs

 Fundraising Grants for Local Associations

  • Local associations may apply for grants of up to $5,000 to be used for fundraising purposes
    • Fundraising event: auction, Miss RPAC contest, etc.
    • Fundraising video or DVD production and distribution
    • Distribution of fundraising materials
    • Major donor development
    • RPAC messaging for new member orientation

Requirements:

  • State election laws do not ban use of corporate political contributions for use in fundraising
  • Local association grantees must commit to forward 30% of all RPAC funds raised in the targeted year to National RPAC
  • Set minimum RPAC fundraising standards for increasing participation by 5% and total contributions by 10%

 RPAC Marketing Materials for State and Local Associations

  • Creation of customized RPAC materials to be used for solicitation and donor education using your logo, donor clubs and state and local issues
  • Choose from 14 different template options, including RPAC Major Donor brochure that does not count toward your yearly count
  • RPAC will pay for the design, printing and delivery to your office of enough materials for every member in your association, plus an additional 20% for new members and special events.

Requirements:

  • State election laws do not ban use of corporate political contributions for use in fundraising
  • Use of National legislative issues and RPAC Major Donor levels
  • A minimum order of 100 brochures

  • Held at Midyear Meeting and Annual Meeting
  • Featuring Professional Fundraising Experts to answer your fundraising questions
  • Share and learn ideas from fellow REALTOR boards

  • Learned about NAR programs


 RPAC Fundraising Webinars

  • To ensure contact, momentum and accountability in between the Fundraising Forums, NAR RPAC is hosting regular webinars throughout the year.
  • Each forum focuses on a specific fundraising area, i.e. one-on-one solicitation for major donors, online solicitation of small donors, etc. by fundraising experts.
