RPAC Fundraisining Webinar Calendar

Mark your calendar! NAR’s Community & Political Affairs Division offers regular RPAC Fundraising Webinars. The RPAC Fundraising Webinar Series is designed to help REALTOR® volunteers, as well as state and local association staff, acquire practical RPAC training skills without leaving the office. The majority of the webinars are hosted by NAR’s former senior political representative and now fundraising consultant, Jane Saunders. Listed below is the schedule for January to June 2010. ALL WEBINARS WILL BE HELD AT 3:00 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME.


Schedule for 2010:

 Thursday, February 4: RPAC Fundraising: Special Events
Tried and true success stories on unique ways of raising funds, i.e.  auctions, games, duck races, Ms. RPAC Contest, REALTOR® Idol, dance contests, Diamonds & Champagne, Jail & Bail.
Who should participate: REALTOR® fundraising chairs & committee members, state and local RPAC staff

 Thursday, February 18: RPAC Fundraising & the Law
Fundraising Legal Information including: the One-third Rule; Top 10 Legal Questions asked by RPAC Fundraisers; & NAR Political Advocacy Fund.  We want you to have fun but we want to make sure we do it legally.
Who should participate: REALTOR® fundraising chairs & committee members, state and local RPAC staff

 Thursday, March 4: RPAC Fundraising 101
Even if you have been fundraising for a few years, this is a great review.  This one hour session will give you an overview of RPAC Fundraising but it is not a substitute for the details you will receive in the other sessions.  It will focus on the do’s & don’ts of RPAC. 
Who should participate: RPAC fundraisers, state and local RPAC staff

 Thursday, March 18:  RPAC Resources for you!
Through the RPAC Partnership Program, NAR can help qualifying state and local associations with conference and fundraising grants as well as free marketing materials. Gain insight on how to tap into these invaluable resources.
Who should participate: REALTOR® fundraising chairs and committee members, state and local RPAC staff

 Thursday, April 1:  RPAC Fundraising: Topic to be determined

 Thursday, April 15:  RPAC Fundraising: The 1/3 Rule
Fundraising Legal Information with a focus on the One-Third Rule.  We want you to have fun but we want to make sure we do it legally.
Who should participate: REALTOR® fundraising chairs and committee members, state and local RPAC staff

 Thursday, May 27: RPAC Financial Tracking
If you handle RPAC money at the state or local association, this session is for you. The session will give you an overview of RPAC accounting & focus on staying within the law.
Who should participate: All association staff who handle RPAC receipts.

 Thursday, June 17: *Repeat * RPAC Fundraising: Special Events
