Session 3 - Valuation Review: How is the appraisal process impacting your business?

Increased government regulation has forced lenders to implement tighter lending standards, which impact the appraisal process. Lenders must comply with appraiser independence requirements required by Dodd-Frank and appraisers must be able to conduct independent and impartial appraisal assignments. Real estate agents and appraisers are confused about what can or cannot be discussed during the appraisal process and who agents can talk to if they have a complaint about the results of an appraisal report. Our industry panel will discuss how the process works now.
