Government Affairs Directors Professional Development Session

2:30pm – 3:30pm, Washington Hilton, International Ballroom East, Concourse Level
CEO of the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF), Brad Fitch, will present to Government Affairs Directors on “How to Remedy Advocacy Apathy.”  GADs will learn about best practices for working with volunteer advocates.  Information from CMF research will help GADs convince their supporters that their voice makes a difference, and best-practices motivational tools will turn citizen-slouches into citizen-SUPER-advocates!  Afterwards, Mr. Fitch will moderate a panel discussion with two, local government relations professionals (Leann Fox, Director Grassroots, International Council of Shopping Centers and Caitlin Donahue, VP Public Affairs, CRAFT Digital~Media) on their best practices for engaging member advocates.
