Convio Basics: Online Training - May 2012 Online via Webex
Thank you for your interest in the Realtor Party Grassroots Communications System!
The Convio software (formerly known as GetActive) is state-of-the art constituent engagement platform that allows your association to launch advocacy campaigns, send personalized Call for Action email appeals, create professional e-newsletters, and manage paid and unpaid event registrations. Our grassroots software system is directly synchronized with NRDS and with the NAR eCommerce system.
We are offering an online month-long course to help your association get up and running on the system. This training plan is ideal for staff who have a few hours to devote a week to learning the software over the course of a few weeks. To provide you with the information you need to succeed, we’ve worked with Convio staff to develop video training resources that you can access on your schedule as often as needed. We’ve also developed training outlines depending on your specialty (Advocacy, Messaging, or Events) to guide you through your training regimen. You will receive a combination of Introductory Webinars and these self-paced online video tutorials in conjunction with access to a training site for practice and system familiarity. Whether you need a refresher on the basic online engagement concepts, or are a new administrator that has never used such a system before, the online training allows staff to review the main features of the system, participate in training exercises and get answers to questions via weekly checkins with our training provider.
Registration will enroll you in all four sessions over a period of four weeks. Each session will be at 4PM EST on subsequent Mondays. You must enroll in the first course to receive information about the subsequent sessions.

There is no cost for this training. We just ask that you please set aside the time required to attend the weekly webinars and to view the prescribed video tutorials and the perform the assignments associated with your training.
To acquire use of the software, you must successfully complete the training course and a Letter of Agreement must be signed and returned to NAR. The letter spells out the terms and conditions of the use of the software. Prior to attending training, you must also complete the Center Start Up Form so that we can have your center ready for use after training is complete.
If your association already has a center, and you only need to register additional staff or train new staff on the platform, new forms are not required.
